With the Ticket Scanner app, you can use your own phone to scan tickets. The app is available for both Android and iOS. Simply search for the 'Ticket Scanner' App. As an organiser, you have the freedom to set up scanner logins as you wish through the Beatport Tickets dashboard. Here's how to set one up:
In the dashboard, go to your event by clicking on the 'Events' button, next click on the event you would like to set up scanning.
In the menu on the right side, click on 'Scanners'.
An automatically generated scanner login has already been created. This login scans all tickets for the event and can be used with all scanners. To create your own login, click on ‘+ New scanner’.
Configure the scanner login by giving it a name, such as: VIP Entry, Parking, or Shuttle Bus. Optionally, enter a custom username or password. This will be used later to log in to the Ticket Scanner app.
Next, select the tickets that can be scanned with the scanner login and click ‘Create scanner'.
The created scanner login is ready for use. You can log into the Ticket Scanner app in two ways: via a QR code or a username and password from the created scanner login.
The login QR code can be found by clicking on ‘Show Login’ in the scanner logins menu.
After logging in, the tickets are loaded into the scanner(s). Now you can start scanning!
