How To Set Up Your First Event on Beatport Tickets

Step 1: Set Up Your Account

  1. Log in with your Beatport email

  2. Create your Company (e.g: label, collective, venue, or festival)

  3. Select your currency, locale, country, and timezone

  4. You’re now ready to build your first event

Step 2: Create Your Event & Tickets

  1. Click “New Event”

  2. Enter your event name and location (address)

  3. Set the date, start time, and end time

  4. Define your event capacity

    • Option to set overall capacity, per ticket tier OR per access moment (e.g: for events spanning across multiple days)

Create Ticket Types:

  1. Add a ticket types

    • Name (e.g. Early Bird, General Admission, VIP)

    • Add the price + tax rate for each ticket tier

  2. Select a Shop

    • You can choose a shop or decide not to sell them (yet)

    • No shop yet? Create one from this screen

    • Select which ticket types to include in the shop

Step 3: Publish on Beatportal

Make your event pop and easy to discover:

  1. Link ticket shop

    • Select the shop connected to the event you want to list

  2. Event Details

    • Select one main genre + supporting genres

  3. Event Type

    • Club, Festival, Outdoor, Bar, etc.

  4. Description

    • Give people a reason to pull up

  5. Tag a Label (optional)

    • Only if tied to a Beatport label

  6. Upload Artwork

    • Must be square format (1080x1080)

  7. Add Artists

    • Search + tag Beatport artists (you can search by name or paste the link to their profile)

    • Use “Other Artist” if not on Beatport

    • Arrange the lineup order as you like

  8. Add Music (optional, but encouraged)

    • Paste a Beatport track, release, chart or public playlist link to feature on the page to get people excited about the music they’ll be hearing that night.

  9. Hit Publish

    • Your event is now live and selling

Step 4: Set Up Promotions

Want to move tickets faster? Spin up a promo:

  1. Go to Promotions in your dashboard

  2. Create a campaign

    • Enter a campaign name

    • Select a promotion type

      • Discount amount

      • Percentage discount

      • Fixed price

    • Set the availability dates

  3. Add the tickets:

    • Select the event and ticket

  4. Create promo codes

    • Choose auto-generated or enter a custom code

  5. Set limits

    • Total uses

    • Max uses per order

You’re Event Is Live!

That’s it. Your event is now:

  • Listed on Beatportal

  • Selling tickets

  • Ready to be pushed across your channels

Now go fill that dance floor!
